Dapper Day Spring 2013: February 24, 2013
The third annual Dapper Day went off without a hitch!
For those of you who don’t know Dapper Day is a day where you can go to Disneyland or Walt Disney Word and dress up in fancy or “dapper” clothes. It’s inspired illustrations from Disneyland engineers who portrayed people enjoying their day at Disneyland in sophisticated attire. Most people dress in vintage clothes but this day isn’t necessarily about being vintage. So long as you look fancy, spiffy, dapper, sophisticated, etc then you’re fine. You don’t even really need to dress for it, you can just go to Disneyland and enjoy seeing everyone all dressed up.

There are Dapper Day only events that go on in both parks which include a singles mixer and the King Arthur’s Carousel take over sadly, we weren’t able to make it to them but we heard that they were really fun.

My friends and I have taken photos of Dapper Day outfits we liked. Our favorites were the Disney Bound outfits. Disney Bound outfits are outfits inspired by Disney characters. Special shout out goes to the Steampunk outfit.
We noticed that there really weren’t a lot of people who dressed up for this day. It’s understandable considering that it’s a pretty new thing and there were some people we talked to who didn’t even know that Dapper Day existed. There will be another Dapper Day in the fall, hopefully more people will join in the fun. We will definitely be going again for Fall.
